Goss Grove Bike and Transit Charrette With City and GO Boulder

Remember when we rolled out the map of the neighborhood and noted ideas for a Bike Boulevard and other transit improvements? That was at our last quarterly neighborhood meeting. Now is the time to get serious about this!!
Rich Points has set up a design charrette with GGNA, GO Boulder, and Boulder city planners February 24 4 p.m. in the basement of the main Naropa Building.
If you missed them, scroll down and see the videos of successful bike boulevards in other cities, including Portland, Oregon. They're worth a look. Actually, they're really fun and inspiring.
This meeting is also timely in light of the recent serious accident at 21st and Canyon.
We need a good turn out for this so we have the maximum ideas going forward. This is a real opportunity for Goss Grove Neighborhood.

AND speaking of neighborhoods, thanks to all who turned up at the city open house on the land use changes last night. There were a dozen people who came to ask questions who hadn't been at any of our meetings on the subject, including landlords. There were questions and real interest, but no strong opposition to either the land-use changes or to any modification to the map we submitted to the city. Good news all around. The city planners seemed to be impressed at seeing new faces that were also supportive.

THIS WEDNESDAY--OPEN HOUSE ON REZONING

You should have all received this postcard on potential land use change. There is already written comment on file for no change or change that does not include Arapahoe addresses.
So if you care, you'll be there--Municipal Building Lobby, Wednesday February 16 5-7 p.m. Everybody who shows up makes it known that we're watching this process and have an opinion. Hope to see you there.
