CU Party Policy Update

According to CU, we're not the neighborhood with the most parties. I assume that's good news. Here's her report.

I wanted to touch base with all of you about party registration and recap the fall stats for you and let you know about the future plans. From August 20th to December 26th we had…

129 parties register from 86 unique addresses.

Only 4 tickets were issued at 2 houses

1 officer initiated shut down due to a typo

11 – 1st complaints

4 – houses that received 2 complaints but did not get a ticket (officers have discretion, if they get there and hosts are breaking up the party it’s just taking a little longer they may not receive a ticket.)

By the neighborhood totals…

67 parties on the Hill

19 -East Aurora

16 -Martin Acres

6 in Goss Grove and Whittier/Pearl area

All other areas had 4 or less.

Many of the parties getting complaints were on the Hill but also in other areas of town. We have sent neighbor surveys to random residences on the block and surrounding area but we have only received a few surveys back. Have you heard feedback from anyone? If there is anyone who wants to provide feedback they can contact Susan Stafford or myself by calling 303-492-7053. We continue to evaluate tweak the program as things come up to make it better and resident feedback is appreciated.

As for the future plans, we are planning on continuing through the spring semester and reassessing after that for the summer and fall. Please let me know if you or anyone else has any questions about the program.

Thanks,

Susan Barkman
